How twins are matched
Each city’s twelve monthly highs, lows and rainfall totals (1991–2020 climate normals) are compared with every other city’s. Each year starts at its coldest month, so seasons line up across hemispheres: Hougang New Town’s winter is matched against a Southern Hemisphere city’s winter. 100% would be an identical year. Cities within 150 km are left out, since they share the same weather.
